REHA is proud to host an impactful advocacy event on November 11, 2024, in Kabul, coinciding with the commencement of COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan. This event serves as a vital platform to amplify the voices of Afghan children, youth, women, the private sector, Ulama, local communities, and experts. We were thrilled to welcome over 160 representatives and officials from national authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, media, donor organizations, embassies, and activists. Together, we united in a common purpose: to call for urgent climate action. Among the inspiring voices at the event, one poignant message from Afghan children stood out: “We, the children of Afghanistan, urge you at COP29: hear our voices now—tomorrow is too late for action.” This heartfelt plea encapsulated the urgency of our collective mission.
